Josh Jacobs is vice president of Clean Energy Strategy and Planning for Puget Sound Energy.

Under his direction, PSE is working toward its aspirational goal of being a Beyond Net Zero Carbon energy company by 2045.

He is responsible for PSE’s resource planning functions, transmission services and planning, PSE’s approach to the decarbonization of its natural gas and electric systems, and PSE’s energy supply function. 

Jacobs joined PSE in 1998 and has held many roles at the company, including customer service, procurement, energy supply operations, grid operations and transmission services. He was the lead for PSE’s customer transformation initiative called Get to Zero, a multi-year effort focused on improving various aspects of PSE’s customer experience. For many years Jacobs has also been an active participant in regional energy markets, and was PSE’s lead when joining the California ISO energy imbalance market in 2016.    

Jacobs is currently the vice-chair of the Pacific Northwest Utilities Conference Committee and is a graduate of Northwest University in Kirkland, Washington, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration.
