NIPPC Annual Meeting

September 15-17, 2024

Planning is underway for NIPPC’s annual conference to be held at Alderbrook Resort in Union, WA, the long-time home of our event.

NIPPC is a leading advocate for competitive power and well-designed public policy, at both a regional and federal level.

The theme of this year’s conference, “At the Crossroads,” reflects the fateful choices, amidst many challenges, facing the Northwest and broader West about organized wholesale markets, transmission capacity, and decarbonization.

Join us for two days of open debate and dialogue on the issues that matter most to the regional power community.

Conference Program

The NIPPC Annual Meeting is the Northwest’s premier energy policy conference, bringing together key players from across the energy industry to debate the policy issues that matter most.

The power industry is facing unprecedented change. NIPPC acts as a facilitator and a problem solver, with a clear voice on ongoing competitive power issues, as well as the larger structural changes happening in the market.

Our annual conference brings all of this together, as we spend two days creatively exploring the issues facing the power sector.

Meeting Fees and Registration

The cost to attend the virtual conference includes both sessions on the mornings (Pacific time) of Monday September 14 and Tuesday, September 15.

The cost per person to attend the webinar is $250.

Accommodations

Our meeting will be held at Alderbrook Resort & Spa in Union, Washington. It is a gorgeous spot on the Hood Canal and has been the home of our meeting for many years.

The meeting space at Alderbrook can easily accommodate NIPPC’s growing event, but we are limited in the number of rooms that are available.

We have cabins available at The Robin Hood Village Resort. You can view them HERE. The Robin Hood accommodations are rustic, but their proximity to Alderbrook is really convenient. To request a cabin email fduke@nippc.org

Other options include local vacation rentals. There are many beautiful places for rent on Hood Canal, and up to 50 properties available between September 15-17. You can search for them using these links to Airbnb and VRBO. If you plan to bring a group to the event, this may be the best option for you.

If you prefer to stay at hotel lodging, these local resorts and roadside hotels along Hood Canal are a short drive away from the conference location:
1. The Waterfront at Potlatch
2. Sunrise Resort
3. Glen Ayr Resort
4. Moonlight Resort
