Liz Thomas is a partner in the firm’s Seattle office and member of the firm’s energy, infrastructure, and resources practice. Thomas has a national practice, concentrating in a range of matters related to energy and water regulation, transactions and project development. This includes regulatory matters at utility commissions; licensing, re-licensing, and compliance for hydropower facilities; and advising clients on public policy issues.
She was named Best Lawyers’ 2012 Seattle Energy Law Lawyer of the Year and a Best Lawyer in America 2009-2021. Thomas is a member of the Clean Energy Transition Institute Board of Directors. She has also served on the board of the Legal Foundation of Washington Board of Trustees, the Climate Solutions Board of Directors, 2005-2010, and the Energy Facility Siting Process Review Committee. She holds a J.D. from Harvard Law School and a B.A. from Wellesley College.
